Quote - Study Permit
Most foreign nationals require a permit to be eligible to study in Canada.
To apply for a study permit, most candidates will require an offer of acceptance from a designated learning institute (DLI)
Students who started their Canadian studies in post-secondary academic, vocational, or professional training in a program that is at least six months long and leads to a degree, diploma, or certificate could be eligible to work up to 20 hours per week during the regular school semester and up to 40 hours per week during scheduled breaks.
Candidates who qualify to apply for a study permit must also meet the following eligibility requirements:
-
Demonstrate their intent to leave once their study authorization expires; and
-
Prove they have sufficient funds for their school fees, to support themselves and their family in Canada to return home; and
-
Are not criminally or medically inadmissible to Canada; and
-
Plan to study with a designated learning institute (DLI); and
-
Can provide any requested documents that may prove their eligibility to enter Canada
