Federal Skilled Trades Program
The Federal Skilled Trades Program (FST) is one of the three federal programs managed through Express Entry.
The Federal Skilled Trades Program is for skilled workers who want to immigrate to Canada permanently based on being qualified in a skilled trade under these groups of the National Occupational Classification (NOC):

Major Group 72, industrial, electrical, and construction trades

Major Group 73, maintenance and equipment operation trades

Major Group 82, supervisors and technical jobs in natural resources, agriculture, and related production

Major Group 92, processing, manufacturing, and utility supervisors and central control operators

Minor Group 632, chefs and cooks
-
Minor Group 633, butchers and bakers

Eligibility Requirements are as follows:

Meet required levels in English or French, CLB 5 in speaking & listening, CLB 4 in reading & writing

Have two years of full-time work experience within five years before applying

Meet all job requirements for the skilled trade according to the NOC

Have an LMIA-approved job offer of full-time employment for at least one year OR
-
Have a certificate of qualification in that skilled trade issued by a Canadian provincial or territory body

Work experience does not need to be continuous and must be acquired after obtaining the corresponding qualifications to perform the job

Education Requirements
There are no education requirements for this program, however, if you want to improve your CRS score in the Express Entry pool you will need to obtain an Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) report if you do not have Canadian qualifications.
